APPSS Welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of Public Security of China (http://www.mps.gov.cn/)
The delegation was organised by the Ministry of Public Security of China and led by Mr. Guogao Shen, Vice Director of Equipment Finance Bureau of the MPS.
The delegation arrived in the UK in November 2007 for a three-week fact-finding mission. One of the main purposes of the visit was to understand how British police equipment is financed, supplied and procured. As part of this mission, APPSS briefed the delegates about its' Members and the role that the Association plays in helping them with Britain's complicated procurement processes. APPSS Director, Bob Rose also spoke to the group about his very recent experience of the process, using his point of view as a newly retired Chief Superintendant from Hampshire Constabulary.
