Buro Hapold
Buro Hapold are working on a number of projects for the ODA including design work on access control.
CLM
CLM is the acronym for CH2MHill, Laing O'Rourke & Mace and is the ODA’s delivery partner for the construction of the venues. They are charged with ensuring that the successful construction contractors meet the security criteria specified in their contracts with them. Construction contractors will choose their own individual security providers for both physical and manned security.
Dean & Dyball
Dean & Dyball have been awarded the construction contract for facilities in Weymouth & Portland commencing Spring 2008 for completion end 2008.
EDAW
EDAW is the consortium whose original Olympic Park Masterplan helped London win the 2012 Games. They are setting the framework for the re-generation of the LowerLeaValley by designing the Olympic Park and its associated infrastructure. The consortium includes W S Atkins and Arup.
Edmund Nuttall Ltd & Galliford Try Plc
Edmund Nuttall Ltd, part of European Construction Group BAM, and Galliford Try a major UK construction and housebuilding company, who acquired Morrison Construction, are the two main contractors appointed to carry out remedial and demolition work on the Olympic Park site. Edmund Nuttall are working on the Southern half of the site and Morrisons on the Northern half of the site. Work is expected to commence in July 2007 and will run beyond the Summer of 2008, when the main construction work is expected to commence.
Home Office
The Home Secretary, through the Home Office, has ultimate responsibility for the security of the Games. The Home Office Olympic Security and Safety Strategic Steering Group, chaired by Vic Hogg, is the backbone of the planning process and its strategy is co-ordinated by the OSD's Programme Team.
IOC – The International Olympic Committee.
The IOC is the umbrella organisation for the Olympic movement. It owns all the rights to the Olympic symbols, flag, motto, anthem and Olympic Games.

The IPC is the umbrella organisation for the Paralympic Games.

Lend Lease - Bovis Lend Lease
Lend Lease and its subsidiary Bovis Lend Lease have been chosen to develop the Olympic Village. Phase 1 will be the development of approximately 4,200 residential dwellings and related accommodation, which will become the Olympic Village. Lend Lease will be responsible for all aspects of the project including funding, design and construction, and marketing and sales. Phase 1 is expected to start in 2008 with handover to the ODA in 2011. Under Phase 2 the Olympic Village development will be refurbished following the Games and a further 500,000 sq mtrs of regeneration is included which could take the works up to 2020. LOCOG - The London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
LOCOG’s remit is the staging of the Games themselves, including the support services. Its income derives from sponsorship, ticket and vendor arrangements. It is expected to commence its award of contract in 2009. Its offices are at:

MPS - Metropolitan Police Service
The Metropolitan Police Service are charged with overall command and co-ordination for the security of the Games - see Olympic Security Directorate (OSD). A chart detailing the organisations involved and reporting lines is shown at paras 12.6a & 12.6b of the bid document, click here. The Olympic Operational Command Unit is also known as CO12. The MPS is also the lead agency in the The Olympic Security, Safety and Resilience Strategic Forum.
ODA - The Olympic Delivery Authority.
The ODA’s remit is to build and deliver the venues for the Olympic Games to LOCOG to the specification agreed. Its income is derived from government, non-governmental and local government sources. Once the venues are built to specification it is thought that the ODA will take over responsibility for providing LOCOG with the maintenance services of those venues throughout the Games and will continue that responsibility until the venues are handed over as part of legacy.
The ODA has drafted the physical security requirement for the venues for CLM to implement. This is to ensure that the ODA can provide for the Security Directorate an overall standardised physical security platform for the Games. They will use independent consultants for elements of this process. Whilst CLM will be undertaking the majority of procurements the ODA will always remain the Contracting Authority.

OSD - The Olympic Security Directorate
The OSD is a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary body that sits within the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) and is headed by the Olympic Security Co-ordinator. The Security Co-ordinator is appointed by the Home Secretary, to whom he is accountable, to act on behalf of the Commissioner of the MPS.
The OSD takes responsibility for co-ordinating the agencies involved in providing safety, security and resilience to the Games. The OSD co-ordinates the strategic and operational planning of security for the Games, and ensures that the implementation is effective during the event period in order to achieve the Olympic Strategic Security Objectives. The OSD will comprise of 24 different organisations.
The current Olympic Security Co-ordinator is Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur who was appointed to the position in June 2006. He is responsible for ensuring that the security concept and operations for the Games knits together an integrated approach that incorporates the roles and responsibilities of the emergency services and other relevant agencies, including the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).

Team Stadium
Team Stadium comprises: Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd, HOK Sport Ltd and Buro Happold. Their Project Director is Tony Aikenhead. The Team have signed an MOU with the ODA for the design and build of the main stadium and building is due to commence mid 2008. They are co-located with the ODA.

W S Atkins are working on a number of projects including the specification of the Park perimeter fence.

The website, which is free to use, tracks all tenders relating to 2012, notifies subscribers and then helps them, where necessary, combine to put the best tender forwards. BERR – Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform
The BERR is tasked jointly with the DCMS in the delivery of the Olympic Games and they have jointly, with partners, developed a delivery plan. The Department for Culture Media & Sport is the department responsible with the DTI for co-ordinating the delivery of the Olympic Games and was the lead department in the bid.

This is a key government and industry collaboration established to provide leadership in the UK. It has developed a vision of how IT, Electronics, Communications, and Content (ITEC) applications and services can be used to the London Games. It has published a paper called Towards the 2012 Games.
JCP – Jobcentre Plus
Jobcentre Plus is working on the provision of staff for the Olympics and its current level of involvement is mainly working on opportunities for the disadvantaged. This amounts to about 400 to 500 people. They are also working on a pre-volunteer programme for graduates, which could be linked to recruitment for the Games.
LDA – London Development Agency
The LDA is the Mayor of London’s Agency charged with driving sustainable economic growth in London. With regard to the Olympics it is driving a number of issues, including:
